TOWARDS NET ZERO
PAX: 200
LOCATION: State Library Victoria
Hosted at the State Library Victoria, guests were welcomed with a streamlined registration experience before entering an open inviting space, carefully curated to feel comfortable, inclusive and conducive to collaboration.
The event was officially opened by The Honourable Ed Husic, Minister for Industry and Science, alongside CSIRO Chief Executive Doug Hilton, setting the tone for two days of focused discussion and forward thinking.
Sustainability was a constant theme throughout. All catering was vegetarian to significantly reduce the event’s carbon footprint. Floral centrepieces, designed by a local florist using native blooms and reusable vases, were gifted to attendees post-event. Each table was set with refillable glass water bottles, eliminating the need for single-use paper cups.
A media wall displayed powerful and personal illustrations from school students, sharing what climate change means to them—a reminder of the next generation driving this mission forward.
As part of our commitment to guest experience and event sustainability, attendees were also hosted at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel, ensuring convenience and continuity across the two-day program.
